Terms of Use
The service
Owed is a shopping protection tool. You send receipts for US retail purchases. We watch whether the same item later lists at a lower price inside that retailer's published adjustment window, and we prepare a request you can file in your own name. Owed is not a law firm, not a debt negotiator, not a money transmitter, and not an insurance adjuster.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and a US resident. We do not offer the service outside the United States.
Your claims, your name
On Pro, you review and send every request. Refunds go from the retailer to you. We do not take custody of recovered funds. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you confirm.
Fees
Pro is a monthly subscription ($9.99 after the intro month for the first 1,000 accounts). There is no success fee. Premium auto-submit, if offered later, is a separate subscription. We never deduct fees from recovered funds because we never hold those funds.
No guaranteed results
Retailers can deny adjustments. Windows, SKU matching, and policy pages change. Example dollar amounts on the marketing site are illustrations, not promises.
Acceptable use
Do not use Owed to submit false claims, to harass merchants, or to send receipts that are not yours. We may rate-limit inbound mail and prepared requests.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is.” To the extent allowed by law, Owed is not liable for lost profits or for a retailer's refusal to pay. Some state laws do not allow certain limitations; those limitations may not apply to you.
