Fair questions.

Longer answers live in the price-adjustment guides.

What is a retailer price adjustment?

Many US retailers will refund the difference if the same item gets cheaper shortly after you buy it, as long as you ask inside their published window with a receipt. Owed watches that window and prepares the request. You file in your own name.

Do I have to connect Gmail?

Not in V1. Forward receipts to the personal address in your account, or paste them in the app. Gmail connect may come later as a convenience.

Can I file the claim myself?

Yes — that is the product. We prepare the request. You send it. Refunds go from the retailer to you.

Which stores does Owed watch?

Forward a receipt from any US retailer with a published post-purchase adjustment policy. We add merchants as needed once we can source their rules. Amazon and Walmart.com own-price drops are out.

Do you take a cut of the refund?

No. Pro is $9.99/month. The first 1,000 accounts get the first month free. There is no success fee, and we never take custody of recovered funds.

Are you a law firm?

No. Owed is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We help you use ordinary retailer price-adjustment policies.

What is the difference between a price adjustment and a price match?

A price match is usually at purchase and often uses a competitor’s advertised price. A price adjustment is after you buy, and usually uses the same retailer’s own lower price on the same SKU. Confirm the store’s current policy either way.

Do Amazon and Walmart offer price adjustments?

Owed does not watch Amazon or Walmart.com own-price drops. Those companies publish their own help pages, and the rules change. Confirm the current policy on their sites before you ask.

How long do price-adjustment windows last?

Often 14–30 days, but the number is retailer-specific and dated. Some stores pause or shorten windows around holidays. Never assume a window — read the retailer’s current policy page.
