Kohl’s price adjustment (14 days, own price)

Kohl’s publishes two different programs. A price adjustment is when Kohl’s later sells the same item for less than you paid. A price match is when a competitor (or Kohls.com vs. a store) is cheaper at the time you ask. Do not mix them. This page is the adjustment. Confirm Kohl’s FAQ article 88 the day you ask — as of September 2, 2026 that is the official Price Adjustments article.

What Kohl’s Price Adjustments article says

You could be eligible if all of these are true:

• You bought the item on sale or at a regular price.
• The price was reduced to below the final price you paid within two weeks (fourteen days) of the purchase date.
• You have the original, dated sales receipt.

Store purchases, that article says, must be adjusted in-store. Bring the receipt. Do not assume website chat can see a register ticket.

What is not eligible

Article 88’s exclusion list includes:

• Clearance markdowns.
• Kohl’s Cares merchandise.
• Items bought as a Buy One, Get One deal, or items that are currently in a BOGO promotion.
• Excluded items and brands (see Kohl’s coupon-eligibility / exclusions FAQ linked from that article).

Promo codes: Kohl’s says they cannot process an adjustment for a promotion code that was not valid when an online order was placed. A code applied to the original purchase must still be valid to apply it to the new sale price during an adjustment.

Holiday blackout, in their words: previous purchases, purchases made during Thanksgiving week, and purchases made during the week of Cyber Monday will not be adjusted during Thanksgiving week and during the week of Cyber Monday. If you are in that week, wait for the live FAQ — or you may simply be out.

Price match is a different ticket

Article 90 says stores may match a competitor’s in-store price and will also match Kohls.com pricing on an identical item, with printed-ad rules. Stores do not match competitors’ online pricing. That is not an own-price markdown after you already paid. Owed watches the adjustment, not a hunt across other chains.
